Cancer No More!

I got a videophone call from a good friend of mine yesterday informed me that she has cancer. My heart dropped! I told her that we will fight this back together. This morning I surfed through my old emails and came across to an article another friend sent to me 13 days ago. I decided to open and read it and thought that we all need to be educated about cancer and how we can build our immune systems stronger.

As the rest of you have no doubt noticed, I’m beginning to realize that I haven’t had much time for my blog lately. In fact I’m finding that I can rarely do more than focusing on my photography career.

1 cup strawberries
2 cup watermelon
2 tb agave

There was a short article about phasing out of mercury amalgam in US, which is fillings in the cavities in teeth. The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) recently stated that the US Government have supported to phase down the use of mercury amalgam.

The amalgam is linked to toxin. This verifies from the article, Natural Awakenings, June 2011, page 8: “The IAOMT, a global network of 700 dental, medical and research professionals, is a longtime opponent of mercury amalgam because of possible health risks from mercury, a known toxin. It is considered especially risky for children and for pregnant women, whose fetuses can be affected. Possible side effect of continuous release of toxic vapor from mercury fillings into the body include memory loss, tremors, personality changes and impaired immune systems.” It is also been linked to the risk of cardiovascular disease as the mercury damage to the heart and blood vessels.

To this day, the World Dental Federation and the American Dental Association continue to believe that mercury amalgam fillings are safe. Mercury fillings have been banned in part of Europe i.e., Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Canada and Germany.

Raw Fruit Punch

2 carrots
1 small beet
1/4 inch ginger (optional)
2 large apple
1/2 lime or lemon juice

Juice all of the ingredients in a juicer then drink them right away. 1 1/2 serving. I have Jack La Lanne Juicer that has a wide tube to insert large fruits and vegetables. Costco stores sell them for $89.00.

Raw Chocolate Pudding

1/2 avocado
6 pitted dates, soaked until soft
4 tsp of cacao powder (Organic Dagoba – dark chocolate)
little water for a smoother texture

Puree in a blender and it is ready to go. This will help you to curb your carb cravings.

Kale Chips

1 bunch of Kale
1 tb of olive oil
1/4  tsp of Himalayan salt
1 tsp of freshly squeezed garlic or 1/2 tsp of organic garlic powder

Gently coat kale with olive oil, salt and garlic powder evenly by using your hands. Tear kale leaves into 2 to 3-inch pieces then arrange kale leaves in a single layer on two or three dehydrating trays. Dehydrate in 118 degree overnight or bake in the oven with the door ajar in 150 F for 1 hour or until the chips are crispy. Oven temperature varies so check kale in your oven periodically.

Pink Lemonade

1 cup strawberries
1 cup watermelon
1 tb agave
1/2 cup water
1 tb fresh squeezed lemon juice
some ice

Have you noticed that children attended birthday parties, an hour later after cake and punch is served, and the children are hyper? The schoolteachers and parents can tell you that Halloween, Christmas, Valentine and Easter parties are the worst of the year. Is it fair for children to come home with bunch of candies from the parties and have parents deal with hyperactive kids?

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) over a third of all children in the US are overweight. Childhood diseases such as leukemia, diabetes, and heart disease are at record highs. The epidemic of obesity in children is expected to cause lower life expectancy than their parents. Childhood behavioral and mental disorders such as ADD/ADHD, Autism, Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and so forth have increased drastically. What has gone wrong?!

In the last few decades, the mass distribution of chemically processed foods, greedy corporations, convenience stores and competitive fast food restaurants have skyrocketed. The corporations have invented trendy sugar no-caloric foods and use chemicals on processed foods to prolong its shelf life. Farmers use chemical sprayed on produces to mass-produce their products. Genetically modified vegetables and fruits enable faster growth but they lose most of their nutrients as a trade off. Factories have polluted the air and water. Parents in the workforce have increased; more invented processed foods are on the market making it easier to consume. Forty percent of American meals are eaten outside of the home. Each day, more and more Americans visit a fast food restaurant. Almost every single highway exit touts fast food restaurants. The animals in slaughterhouses live in crowded pens and are fed a very unnatural diet. They are injected with steroids. Then when the inevitable illnesses come, they are massively immunized. Our bodies are poisoned when we are consuming their products.

Most behaviors and disorders have to do with poor diets and unhealthy environments. Many people including children are allergic to foods and chemicals and they do not realize it. Food dyes, preservatives, chemicals sprayed on produce and drugs also have been linked to Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, cancers, etc. The researches show that food additives, sugar, caffeine, wheat, eggs and milk have worsened behavior in children with ADHD or other behavioral problems. Furthermore, three tablespoons of sugar suppresses the immune system by thirty-three percent for a number of hours. Nine tablespoons, the amount of sugar in a soft drink and a cookie, can almost shut the immune system down for a 24-hour period. Sugar also robbed our bodies of all B vitamins; it takes calcium out of our bones, hair and teeth, on and on. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis. I shudder to think what happens when children consume a can or more of Coke daily.

I read a book about a mother who overcame her son’s autism by changing his diet. Numerous professionals had told her that her son’s autism was incurable. She proved them wrong. She eliminated dairy and gluten products from his diet and he was leading a normal life. When Miles turned three, all of his physicians had agreed that he was completely cured from autism. He was tested to be eight months above his age level in social, language, self-help, and motor skills. He entered a regular preschool without special-ed supports. Miles was six when the article was published; he was in 1st grade reading at the fourth-grade level. He was popular at school and had many friends.

Research has documented that casomorphin, a milk protein, is linked to ADHD and autism. According to the web site: “Florida researcher, Robert Cade, M.D., and his colleagues have identified a milk protein, casomorphin, as the probable cause of attention deficit disorder and autism. There are also controversial issues about childhood vaccinations causing autism and other disorders.

A family whose son diagnosed was with ADHD and learning disability, Kyle was falling behind the other children in academics. His reading and math skills were below grade level. Kyle had a hard time to stay focused. Kyle’s parents had opposed giving Kyle any type of medication to alter his behavior and they were searching for a solution. Kyle’s mother had been studying holistic nutrition and natural hygiene. The whole family had decided to change to a live food diet, which means fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. They eliminated animal products, refined sugar, white four products, junk or processed foods, and wheat from Kyle’s diet. Within days, they noticed changes in Kyle. He was much calmer, happier and began to catch up with his schoolwork. His teacher moved Kyle into one of her “higher groups.” This has clearly indicated that Kyle was allergic to processed foods.

Another story is about a family, the Andressohns, who live in Florida. The family including four young children decided to live in a healthy live food lifestyle. The family chose to follow a live food diet for four years and made it an important part of their life. The parents gave birth to a baby girl, who was diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome (lack of thymus gland), and was having trouble breathing. They called 911. As the ambulance and police showed up, the officers, being unfamiliar with the live food nutritional lifestyle, took away the children and handed them over to the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). The children were misdiagnosed to be malnourished. The children were later re-examined and given a clean bill of health. They were placed into foster home. The care providers were forced by the DCF doctor to feed children “Standard American Diet” foods. Within the first week of diet change, all children were sick. They complained of headaches and stomachaches. Two of the younger children were rushed to the emergency room with bronchitis, asthma and pneumonia. They were never sick in their lives. Removing minerals is a primary cause of mental disorders as well as aging, illness, and lack of energy. Humans and domestic animals are the only species on earth that have health problems and we need to change that. Live food diet as well as low fat, some legumes and grains is optimal and it is the way to go. Strictly live food diet is not for everybody, there is no one diet that fits all. Eating fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds cleanses the system of physical and emotional ailments, and encourages healing from the inside out to build a strong immune system.
